The MG42 Gunsmith and Loadout in COD Mobile

MG42 is the LMG weapon in COD Mobile with a high fire rate, low recoil, and excellent firing experience. The low recoil of this LMG makes it perfect for medium-quarter combats. It's suitable for Domination, Hardpoint, and Search and Destroy matches because the higher fire rate helps to change the game's situation. But, its Damage is 22 which is slightly lower than other LMGs in COD Mobile.

MG42 is a game-changer weapon that allows you to play competitively in defeating situations. However, selecting suitable gunsmith and loadout items is mandatory to get the best possible experience. I have played many matches and killed a wide range of enemies, so I found these gunsmiths which are working well.

MG42 LMG Gunsmith:

According to my recommendation, the following gunsmiths are good enough for MG42 LMG:

• Barrel: VDD 682MM 31M.
• Stock: KRAUSNICK S91 Padded.
• Rear Grip: Leather Grip.
• Underbarrel: MK6 Para.
• Muzzle: Scythe Compensator.

The VDD 682MM 31M barrel reduces the Ads Bullet Spread by -30.0%, Vertical / Horizontal Recoil by -10.0% / -30.0% respectively, and Hit Flinch by -40.0%, which is a good thing for the weapon. The reduction of hit flinch will help you to take precise shots in the game. Although, this barrel increases the Sprint-to-Fire Delay by +10.0% and Hipfire Bullet Spread by +50.0%, which is a con.

To make the MG42 more stable while firing, we use KRAUSNICK S91 Padded stock because it reduces the Vertical / Horizontal Recoil by -15.0% respectively. However, it affects movement speed by -4.0% which can be improved by using the Lightweight perk.

MG42 is a well-known LMG for its great fire rate, which makes it perfect for mid-quarter combats. The main drawback of LMG weapons is high Ads time which gives an unreliable experience at close range. Thanks to the MK6 PARA Underbarrel attachment, because it reduces the Ads Time by -8.0% which improves the gun experience at close range as well.

But, a reduction of -8.0% is not enough well, that's why we use Leather Grip which further reduces the Ads Time by -12.0% that also improves the mobility experience as well.

We need to make the MG42 weapon more stable in the game. For this, we need to optimize the recoil further to get a better experience. Hence, we found the Scythe Compensator attachment which reduces the Vertical / Horizontal Recoil by -8.0% / -4.0% respectively.

MG45 Loadout:

We would recommend you to use these load-outs with MG45:

• Secondary Weapon: Spear Melee.
• Operator Skill: Claw.
• Lethal: Trip Mine.
• Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor.
• Scorestreaks: Hunter Killer Drone, Predator Missile, and Sentry Gun / Stealth Chopper. For Search and Destroy (exclusive): RC-XD, UAV, and Hunter Killer Drone.
• Perks: Lightweight (Red), Recon (Green), and Hardline (Blue).

Sometimes, the enemy accidentally comes in front of you. In that situation, you could use Spear Melee to kill the enemy more efficiently. I feel that the Claw is a great operator skill for the MG42 LMG weapon, especially because it helps to defend the domination points.

LMGs are also suitable for camping, so Trip Mine is a great lethal piece of equipment to safeguard your position from enemies. However, Trip Mine doesn't kill an enemy which uses a hard-wired perk.

It's also important to monitor the location of the nearest enemy, especially in Search and Destroy. Hence, we use Heartbeat Sensor Tactical to manually see that nearest enemies location on this device.

As you know, the KRAUSNICK S91 Padded stock reduces the movement speed by -4.0%, while improving many other weapon ratings. To overcome this, you should use Lightweight Perk because it increases the movement speed by 5% on Sprint and reduces the fall damage rate.

The Recon Perk shows the nearby enemies on your mini-map after an enemy is killed by you. This indication will help you to become more competitive in the game.

The Hardline Perk increases the score earning points by 25%, which means you'll get 125 points on killing an enemy instead of 100. This will help you to increase the score faster for getting top positions and unlocking the scorestreaks.

Alternatives of MG42 Weapon:

Right now, Chopper and PKM are the great alternatives of MG42 weapon:

• Chopper:

The Chopper weapon offers a Heavy Handle underbarrel attachment which enables an Ads Free firing experience. Just because of this, it stands out to be a great alternative for MG42. Chopper also features better control, damage, and range. The addition of Chopper Heavy barrel, YKM Light Flash Guard muzzle, Sleight of Hand perk, and MIP Laser 5mW attachment further improves the weapon's control, range, and accuracy. But, MG42 is a winner in terms of Fire Rate.

• PKM:

PKM is not the widely used LMG weapon in COD Mobile. Still, it's a good alternative for MG42 because of higher Damage. PKM is best for camping where the weapon allows you to kill multiple enemies and safeguard your defending or capturing locations. However, you will not get a better handling and mobility experience, so you can avoid using this weapon if you don't like bulky weapons.

Overall, MG42 competes with all LMG weapons in terms of fire rate, handling style, and firing aspects according to my experience. It helps me to kill multiple enemies with accuracy. However, its damage is 22 which is quite low compared with other LMGs.

It's the best weapon to kill multiple enemies at once, especially, while defending or capturing the domination location. However, the damage is low which slightly takes longer time to kill enemies. I would recommend you to try different attachments with this weapon to find out the best one for your gaming style. You can try Chopper and PKM LMG weapons which are good alternatives for MG42.
